What are some easy, summer cocktails which any idiot can make please?

I saw an Aperol spritz slushy recipe online, which I thought could be good.

Thinking of making two cocktails for a party we are hosting soon.

For summer parties, I usually make jugs of Pimm’s, sangria (I use this recipe) or gin iced tea.
For my parents’ 50th wedding last year I did these elderflower and Prosecco cocktails.
Junglebird is a simple summery cocktail and there’s a straightforward recipe on Tesco’s recipe site. We’ve also tried the mango sorbet fizz on the same site and it was delicious and so refreshing.

Pimms is dead easy and always goes down well.

Nigella is particularly good for jugs of easy cocktails and if you google you should get some recipes by her. I remember her marking jugs of white ladies (one of my favourites) in an episode of Forever Summer.

Looking for some cocktail inspo came across this thread thought I'd add mine and see if it gets any more idea's. We're having a friendly gathering soon and need alcoholic and non-alcoholic ideas. Want to do something other than just beer, wine and sparkling water. Cant beat a good negroni:

Ingredients
25ml gin
25ml sweet vermouth
25ml Campari
ice
For the garnish
slice of orange

Method
STEP 1
Pour the gin, vermouth and Campari into a mixing glass or jug with ice. Stir well until the outside of the glass feels cold.

STEP 2
Strain into a tumbler and add 1 large ice sphere or some fresh ice, and garnish with an orange slice, using a blood orange when in season.

viola!😀

White lady: www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/white-lady

Ingredients
50ml gin
25ml triple sec
25ml lemon juice, plus lemon zest twists to serve
2 tsp sugar syrup
½ egg white (optional)
handful of ice

STEP 1
Tip the gin, triple sec, lemon juice, sugar syrup, egg white (if using) and ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold, then strain the mixture. Discard the ice, then return the drink to the shaker and shake again until the egg white is frothy.

STEP 2
Pour into a coupe glass and garnish with a twist of lemon zest to serve.

I love cocktails, but I think it can be quite the undertaking for a larger gathering, especially if they need to be shaken it's very high effort and time consuming and you can't even do more than 2 at once! I wouldn't do so if I had more than 6 guests.

I think the best advance options are things like punches or sangrias. Or ones you can pre-batch and pour over ice - Steve the Bartender on YouTube did a video on these for New Years, but as he is Australian they are probably summer friendly.

All that being said, some of my favourite summer cocktails are:
Mojito
Gin Basil Smash
Strawberry Daiquiri (fresh strawberry only, no flavoured syrup)
Mai Tai
Cosmopolitan
Margarita
Paloma

White sangria. White wine, soda, peaches and grapes. Loads of ice.
