Please tell me how/where to use milk tokens?

I have been giving them to the milkman for a few years now, but our nice old chap retired and we have a geezer who is not very regular, plus I find it hard to get the right amount of milk and usually end up with too little or too much, so I've told them I want to stop when my credit has run out.

I tried to use a milk token in Sainsburys the other day but it was refused as the min is £2.77 and if you buy 8-10 pints it goes off before you can use it. So I was only getting a four pint bottle.

I don't use formula and I don't buy fruit or veg at the supermarket either - local shop is cheaper/better. I have never seen a market stall that accepts tokens.

Where and how do you use yours??

that's a great idea, thanks - but I don't have the space at the moment. I was thinking about getting another freezer, just a small one...might be worth it!

I know, I don't think the government has really thought it through...
