Meal plan suggestion app?

Is there an app that will give me suggestions for what to cook?

I like the idea of something like Hello Fresh or Gousto to help me get out of our meal rut. But, I don’t need the ingredients - I’m happy to buy them in my weekly shop.

What I really want is something that will give me a suggested meal plan for the week and recipes for the suggestions.

Maybe with the option to plug in likes and dislikes, age of kids etc, so it would be a bit tailored.

Does this exist?? I can find apps that let you upload or choose recipes and then turns it into a shopping list. But I want an app that suggests what recipe to cook…

Not an app but I used Simply Cook when I was in a serious lock down rut:

www.simplycook.com/

They provide the spices / seasonings and recipe card and you buy the ingredients.

Oh thanks, so it’s like a slimmed down version of Hello Fresh? I will have a look, that could work well for us.

Slightly different but I used to a website- I think it it’s hate waste love food, I’ll double check that- you can search receipt ideas by ingredients.

I often check Gousto's recipes for that week when I'm doing my meal plan. Most of them have recipes which you can search online. No tailoring there though.

Whisk.com is good for food planning. Once you’ve built up a bank of saved recipes or joined communities, the app does make suggestions for recipes to try.

SimplyCook is really good, as already suggested. Saves you buying loads of random spices when you just want to try something different. I’ve found that you can easily work out how to make it yourself if it becomes a family favourite - when then it’s worth buying the spices.
