You complete and UTTER BARSTOOL (ahem, I realise children are still up)

I have just been to THREE, yes THREE supermarkets for a chicken for Sunday Dinner and NOT ONE of them had any free range chicken left. Every other week I have been guaranteed of my pick, but no - not today - thanks to YOU and your evangelising, you G*T.

It would be good if it lasted, wouldn't it? Anyone else having trouble finding the chicken of their choice? (Already converted or new to the game?)

my dh almost got handbagged by a very upset old lady in Morrisons as he took the last of the free-rangers

The shelf-stacking guy who was nearby apologied to the old lady and said: ''
''They've been flying off the shelves luv...''

See, I knew free-range chicken was worth the extra money - fecking miraculous I call it

Oi. That was me!
Nifty with a handbag, I'll tell you.

we had nut roast - all free range nuts I think

am really glad Hugh's campaign is working...

let's hope it carries on like this and it's not just a blip.
Having said that I don't actually eat meat...but I don't object to eating meat in principle, just the battery/industrial scale side of things. I sometimes think I should start eating free range meat but somehow it seems simpler not to eat meat at all.

ladytophamhatt · 13/01/2008 17:30

our local morrisons didn't have any free range either, and they don't do organic (well I never seen any anyway).

Saying that, one person could could make our morrisons free range-less because the amount they have is pathetic...I've never seen a whole fee range chivken in there and only occasionally seen thighs/breast etc.

I might complain actually.....

filthymindedvixen · 13/01/2008 17:32

yeah, good point LTH. Our local asda usually only has around 5 or 6 in anyway and Morrisions just 2 or 3.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 13/01/2008 17:36

That's brilliant news!

edam · 13/01/2008 17:36

Oh, that is good news. Hurrah for H F-W and Jamie!
