What is this inside my chicken??

Just about to roast a chicken and for some reason bi looked it, which I normally never do. There are these grain like things!!! What are they??? I'm not sure whether I want to cook it now.

How many of them?

if it’s two then my guess would be some sort of innards which got overlooked in the gutting process.

It's a grain of some kind to me that got overlooked when it was drawn. Feasible, given the diet

Fil is a gamekeeper I've seen the odd one inside the pheasants. It's fine.

It's the food the chicken has been fed before someone's slaughtered it for us and they've probably missed a few grains when removing the stomach/guts etc to make it safe for us to eat..

(by us I mean you, me and everyone else who buys meat)

Eeesh this is why I’d never be able to cook a whole chicken, god knows what’s hidden inside it! Also a slightly grim reminder that the carcass once was alive 😕

I once carved my cooked chicken and it was GREEN inside.

Definitely a grain of wheat (I keep chickens). I would happily eat the chicken in your shoes, there could have been worse things left behind during the preparation process...

What has that got to do with anything?
