Egg free Cake

My mum loves cakes but can't eat egg. Her birthday is coming up and I would love to be able to make her a cake that she can eat. Does anyone have a fool-proof egg free recipe for a sponge type cake?

I do them all regularly, as we eat mainly plant based now.

Put mashed banana in instead of eggs. I usually do 2 bananas.

His daughter also can’t eat eggs so he created the recipe for her. It’s fab
