Baked Potato with cheese/beans/tuna/coronation chicken/coleslaw/cottage cheese.... and a side salad

Curry with rice & naan

Burger & Chips

Reluctantadult · 25/04/2022 15:41

Good list, keep em coming...

We usually have jacket potatoes with baked beans and coleslaw one night, pizza another.

Kedgeree

Chicken tikka

Italian beef ragu

Chilli con carne

Something I started this year that has been really helped is adding a "Successful Meals" tab to my weekly meal planning spreadsheet. If a meal I cook is really nice and I think it would be good to have again I copy across into there. That way I have a list meals that have worked well I can refer to when planning so it's not scratching around for ideas.

Yeah, every time I ask DD (24 and lives with us) what we should have for tea, she says she doesn't know and doesn't mind. Last time I asked her I pointed out that one day she will leave home and will have to decide every bloody night what to eat.

FawnDrench · 25/04/2022 20:29

Lasagne / spag Bol / chilli
Fish pie /fish dish
Roasts

And how mind numbingly boring it is!

I used to love cooking now it's just a drain, I think lockdown killed it for me. Anyway we tend to have:

Something noodley - pho / stir fry / laksa
Something pasta - pasta bake, carbonara, salami pasta or gnochhi with chorizo or pesto
Something mince - spag bol, chilli, meatballs, tacos, nachos, shepherds pie
Something beige like kiev / goujons and chips
Something pre made or from a 'just cook' range
Something chicken - could be anything at all that involves chicken breast eg fajitas, enchiladas, chicken in mushroom sauce etc

nearlyspringyay · 25/04/2022 20:31

My quote didn't work, the first line was to @Reluctantadult
