Poaching chicken in coconut milk

Tried Googling my query but can’t find an answer so trying you wise MNers!

Will I need to throw away the coconut milk after the chicken is poached or can I use it for something else? I was going to add it to a tomato soup I’m also planning.

TIA Flowers

Will you be letting it cool before making the soup or adding the hit milk to the hot soup base?
Will you be eating the soup straight away?

The only issue I can think of is the coconut milk being reheated for a 3rd time if you were cooling it, then making soup then portioning the soup to be reheated.

I used to make a soup with coconut milk then portion and freeze and that was fine reheated -so heated twice in total-not sure I’d want to heat it again iyswim.

Thanks for replying, Google Smile
I was planning on batch cooking the soup and freezing into portions so shall I wait for the coconut milk to cool, the cooked tomato soup to cool, mix together and stick in the freezer?

Thanks again for your advice, I hate food waste but don’t want to poison myself.
