What do you make with sourdough bread?

Ridiculous question perhaps... but I've just been given in Waitrose 2 loaves of sourdough for free.

How do you use it?

Whenever I've used it to made sandwiches it's too chewy.

Any inspirational ideas?

I have my parents arriving mid morning tomorrow so would like to make a light lunch with the bread, all suggestions greatly appreciated.

Toasted with:
mushrooms and hummous
Scrambled egg
Bacon and fried egg
Mashed avocado & chicken/bacon

It goes really well with shakshuka for an easy but impressive lunch

Always have ours toasted unless fresh out the oven. Sometimes make croutons and add to salad, tear chunks up, splash with olive oil and salt and pop in the oven.

Top with avocado, pesto and tomatoes
