Any recommendations? My DC1 is turning 4 soon, she's quite small for her age but it's only really dawned on me recently that the toddler-style cutlery she uses is looking too small for her these days.

IKEA do some metal cutlery in child friendly size.

There’s a brand on Amazon called Exzact. They’ve got great reviews and there are loads to choose from.

Just buy a set of cheap cutlery. There are lots of cute patterns and they’ll probably be small and lightweight with blunt knives.
I have mine cake forks and latte spoons when they were moving up (so about 2) and still don’t give 16yo DD a razor sharp steak knife. Blush

Our DD is 4 years 6 months and moved straight from toddler cutlery to our normal every day stuff about six weeks ago.

If we are having a formal meal we just give her a dessert knife and fork from the cutlery canteen because the table knives and forks from that are huge and oddly balanced. The dessert ones suit her perfectly; I think we first did this at Christmas.

When I was little, m'y parents gave me the dessert cutlery from the canteen. Meant I felt included rather than excluded, too.

DD had this set from Robert Welch. It was a gift from a godparent and was really lovely.
