I have the cutter, now I need a biscuit recipe!

I’ve clearly not thought this through I’ve bought www.lakeland.co.uk/32611/Large-Beehive-Stainless-Steel-Cookie-Cutter?src=gfeed&gclid=CjwKCAjwopWSBhB6EiwAjxmqDTCgb1gkVQ47uhA0Kv3lo2uAKDXqZvFIrqo_CakHyuAH8i47BTgMcRoCwXQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds this cookie cutter and want to make my dad a biscuit for his birthday but have no recipe! I’m a good cake baker but never made biscuits in my life. I’m guessing it needs to be something that won’t spread in the oven. Any help appreciated!

Any basic sugar cookie recipe will work. Nigella has a good one.

I use Peggy Porschen’s gingerbread recipe with great success. I add a dash of orange extract for a bit of zing too.
