If I have over peppered mince and gravy, can it be saved?! 🤞🏻

It’s not hugely, but dc’s will find it hot

If you can't dilute down the effect of the pepper by adding more of the ingredients, can you add some dairy - cream, yoghurt? Failing that, some lemon juice or other acid? Tomatoes at a pinch.

Sugar works for too much chilli heat, but not sure about pepper.

Can you sieve out a lot of the gravy and then remake the sauce?

What’s it for? I would add tinned lentils and a tin of chopped tomatoes, or more cooked mince maybe? Basically double everything you’ve got in there and dilute the pepper

I ended up putting a full tube of tomato paste in and it really worked!! Not peppery at all 😁.

I really wanted it to be a nice tea, they had school trip today and were outside freezing cold all day
