whenever we go to Ireland DH dashes into the nearest shop and buys them, DD & I have to eat the pink ones, the boys get the white ones and the hire car fills up with crumbs
He's the same with Taytos and red lemonade.

I had completely forgotten the names of these biscuits - goodness, that takes me back!!! I remember my mum buying big boxes of these.

Red lemonade - "blood" as we used to call it!!!!

YUM!

Just remembered I bought some chocolate Kimberly at my Mums and never had any! Sob!

And I didn't bring any Tayto back. And I didn't have a Southy and Red.

I need to do Christmas again!

I only really liked the ones with jam down the centre, are they Kimberley or Mikado? My parents didn't like them so it was always a huge treat to have them when we went to visit my paternal grandparents. I have fond memories of the extreme sugar rush we used to get there, and of my parents complaining about it all the way home.

Has anyone tried Rankin's Barmbrack? I found it in Waitrose at the weekend and it was yum, made me think of autumn.

Buda · 07/01/2008 09:32

They are Mikado Bran.

The Brambrack sounds nice. at Waitrose!

Can't wait now for childhood memory taste sensations!
