I lusted after this item for months before buying it. When it arrived last week, I gave it a proper hot soapy wash before whizzing up a nice potato/broccoli soup.
It was disgusting- you could smell a 'new appliance' scent, or something mechanical and chemical. Figured it just needed a more thorough wash.
It has a 4-minute wash cycle. Did it once as per instructions (with a splash of Fairy liquid) then again with plain water, twice.
Made more soup (pumpkin/potato/onion) and again, that funny mechanical smell. So more wash cycles with baking soda, plain water etc etc.
It still smells like something mechanical. And nasty. Has anyone else has this problem?
It's like Jerry Seinfeld's car... the stink just won't leave. What can I do?
