roast pork

DH loves pork and I've bought a 3kg piece to do a roast tomorrow. I'm organised with the veg and pots etc but I'd be grateful for some ideas re the pork.

Slow cooker. None of us are fussed about the crackling and that leaves the oven free for the veg and pots etc.

Oven cook with a glaze of some sort.

I don't like pork myself so I'm feeling very uncreative.

TIA

Mustard or sage go nicely with pork, perhaps a honey mustard glaze and a small layer of apple juice in the slow cooker to stop it drying out.

I'd slow cook it but finish in the oven for half an hour to brown the glaze.

I'm actually cooking a ham shank in the slow cooker today, I started it off already but will change the water at lunchtime because ham is salty whereas pork joints aren't.

Thanks very much. I have mustard, honey and apples Grin

I always have pork pulled now, love it with salt and black pepper with a (double cream) creamy cider and whole grain mustard sauce.

We are having roast pork today. But we like it "just ordinary"... salt, pepper, roast in oven. Juicy, tender roast that tastes of meat.
