It's not even a canapé but we always serve tiny baked potatoes with a blob of sour cream and they get wolfed down

Ham and spring onion crackers or cucumber smoked salmon bites
Sticky hoisin sausages

Sweet chilli king prawn, disc of chorizo, cube of mango ( if you are anti fruit with savoury you can replace with red pepper) all on canapé skewer.
Peach slice, serano ham, basil leaf, again skewered
Bruschetta (serve on crostini to keep small.)
Blini’s cream cheese, smoked salmon and chives or with horseradish cream cheese and beetroot for veggie option.
Old El Paso do canapé size tortilla cups which are fab with fajita chicken, veg and a blob of sour cream, guacamole or salsa. (Don’t fill too early as can go soggy.
Bite size cracker, fig/quince chutney, Stilton and finely sliced pickled onion.

I can't be doing with them. Would rather have some really good olives, posh crisps and nice bread with oil and vinegar. Maybe some of those little peppers with cheese in.

This is my favourite canapé!

Honey mustard cocktail sausages are easy and popular. My DH buys mini chorizo from Sainsburys and cooks them down in cider with a couple of bay leaves. They're done when the liquid has reduced by a half to a third. You just leave them boiling away until done, usually 15-20 minutes. People always ask for the recipe and are surprised that there's not much to it.

Small cubes of brown (soda) bread topped with a spoon of coronation chicken and half a grape. Could also top blini if you don't like or have brown bread

A slice of Parma ham or Prosciutto spread with cream cheese then pop some rocket leaves and a sliced gherkin in and roll up tight, cut in half and stand upright on the tray. Yum!

Blitz peas with fresh mint, cream cheese, a bit of crushed garlic and a splash of lemon juice. Season well. Put a blob on a crostini or blini and then top with a piece of smoked salmon.

These are excellent. A friend of ours makes them. I've been meaning to, but haven't got round to it yet, but she says they are very simple to make, and they taste great.
