It has a special extra ingredient....
Set about making the Christmas cake after dinner, so the kids could help too. Ds2 said it looked like poo - which I guess is a fair description of uncooked fruit cake mix. He managed to splat a fair bit in his hair and onto ds1 but we got all the ingredients in and did the stirring and the wishing. Ds2 wanted one of the "red things" (glace cherries) out of the mixed fruit so I fished one out of the bag. Next thing ds1 is going "aaarghhh...yeuckkk...no!" because ds2 had spat the semi-masticated cherry into the cake mix ("I not like those red things!") Could have attempted to fish it out had ds1 had not carried on stirring all the while...so, anyone for cake?
