Beef stewing steak - anything other than stew?

I've defrosted a pack of bog standard supermarket beef stewing steak but really don't fancy a typical meat/veg/gravy stew - any suggestions?

See now have never understood using stewing steak for stir fry. I thought the idea was to cook the life out of it to make it tender. Will a quick stir fry really do the job?

See now have never understood using stewing steak for stir fry. I thought the idea was to cook the life out of it to make it tender. Will a quick stir fry really do the job?
I wouldn't chance it. It may be ok or you may end up with a plateful of shoe leather.

Hairy bikers beef curry is wonderful (you can add extra veg to bulk it out.)

Beef goulash is also delicious, with carrots, onions, celery, red peppers, smoky paprika and garlic, sour cream and dumplings, mini noodles or mash

Beef rendang is perfect (would say pie but trying to lose weight Blush)

YY to beef rendang. Waitrose do a lovely rendang paste if you don't fancy buying the 50million ingredients needed to make it from scratch (or a good asian supermarket if you have one near you)

I've got loads of spices so all good for rendang. Not that coconut is particularly low fat but one can shared between 5 it's definitely better than pie!
