Starter ideas for a dinner party?

We are going away soon with family & one night we’re all going to cook a dish. We have said we’d be in charge of the starters…does anyone have any nice starter ideas they can share?

We’ve been told the main is a fish dish so maybe something that goes with fish would be good?

• Melon and Parma Ham
• Avocado, Mozzarella, and sliced tomatoes.

Bruschetta with diced tomato, red onion and drizzled with balsamic

Easy things: chicken liver parfait/ goats cheese salad/ calamari/ Greek salad/mussels.
These are the things I would frequently order!

Parma ham, mozzarella and giant homemade cubes of herby croutons threaded on to rosemary sticks and grilled to warm up. Then a garlicky, chilli tomato dipping sauce. So delish. Easy to transport separately. Not too heavy.

Celeriac soup
Stuffed mushrooms
Goat’s cheese tarts

Cauliflower, broccoli, leek or celery soup with mini cheese scones.

Cheese and fruit platters
Sausage rolls
Raspberry flan
