I bought a passion fruit thing and mixed that with something or other (I’m no where near my drinks cupboard hence the vagueness ) and whatever that was, was gross. I followed the recipe on the back of the bottle! I know it wasn’t vanilla vodka though so will look out for that…

I’m an expert. They’re near on impossible to make well at home without that fake stuff although the silver Dunkin’ sachets are good. Tins appalling

Our local place has passion fruit juice. I’ll ask where from. Not a tap like in wetherspoons or wherever

I’m not a cocktails person and had to google this and now I want to try it as passion fruit is my favourite fruit! I’ve read a few recipes and could suggest the oversimplification of mixing vanilla vodka with Teisseire passion fruit syrup and lime juice?

Just buy the funkin bottle it's already got the vodka in then serve with a shot glass of Prosecco and ice

I have Passoa and the thing I meant yesterday was passion fruit martini flavour vodka…. And that was gross but maybe because I put it with lemonade…. I don’t want to buy it I want to try making it but without 48 ingredients like a lot of recipes… but maybe that isn’t feasible?? Now I have a whole bottle of passoa I should try!

Sugar syrup. Not lemonade

Passoa and lemonade is lovely over lots of ice (just to use it up)
But yes you need Passoa, vanilla vodka (absolute is on Clubcard price in Tesco at the minute) lime juice and passion fruit juice. Shaken with ice but poured without!

@QforCucumber I haven’t been able to find any passion fruit juice!

They're never as good as when made (from scratch) in a cocktail bar but this this best version I've made (after many many iterations!)

30ml Vodka (I use passion fruit vodka)
15ml passion fruit purée (Monin)
15ml vanilla syrup (so easy to make)
20ml Passoa
Ice

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker or jam jar and shake vigorously, (a poorly shaken one doesn't mix the ingredients properly) pour into a cocktail glass, chuck in half a passion fruit and slurp away

Rubicon makes passion fruit juice, comes in a purple box.

The vanilla syrup is a basic sugar syrup (used in lots of cocktails) with vanilla to give presumably that slight vanilla taste. If you use vanilla vodka then probably can use normal sugar syrup.

It’s rubicon we use! And sugar syrup is just equal parts water and sugar gently brought to the boil and then cooled 😃
