Alternative to Sunflower oil?

Want to make a chocolate fudge cake and the recipe says I need sunflower oil.
I already have vegetable oil and corn oil.
Would either of those suffice?

Yes. Either would be fine. I would use the vegetable oil.

Use the veg oil - it has less of a defined taste.

I'd go with the 'vegetable oil' (likely to be canola or a blend with sunflower I'd have thought), as corn oil is a bit 'heavier' IME.

Sounds like you just need a flavourless oil so either will do.

Either are fine.

Veg oil in the UK is rapeseed oil and often has a bit of an aftertaste. You will need to taste it first.

I use rapeseed in that circumstance. Its very cheap when branded as vegetable oil , fairly flavourless and you can usually check is British.
