Can you use frozen meat to cook with, and then refreeze and reheat again?

I waqs ubder impression you can only freeze once, or only go through 3 processes, eg freeze, defrost and cook.

Can somone clever explain, if you can understand my mindless rambling? (clueless emoticon].

So to conclude: Can you, freeze, defrost, cook, cool, refreeze, rehat and eat?!

Hi. My mum told me if you froze raw meat, defrosted it and cooked it, you could then refreeze. Have been doing this for years with no ill-effects. (And she's still with us too!)

Yes, you can do that. The safest way to defrost it is in the fridge overnight though.

Defrosting in fridge is better than microwave then?
