What do you eat for lunch if working from home and dieting?

I get really stuck for lunch ideas, I usually end up eating bread in the form of a Sandwich, soup and bread or punched eggs on toast but I really need to cut down on bread. What do you have for lunch that doesn’t involve bread? Also not keen on eating salad during the winter 😬.

I make a vat of quorn chilli with lots of vegetables in it. Some good ideas on here.

I'm another one voting for Veggie scramble, thats my go to if I need something warm and filling. I've also discovered winter veg panzanella this year which I love. It doesn't help you with cutting out bread (I use 1 slice) but its delicious and full of goodness. Also, soup, omlette, noodles and brothers, turkey bacon sandwich or quick shakshuka work for me.

I make a frittata each week using whatever needs finishing up in the fridge. Also a batch of homemade soup. I sometimes have omelettes and in summer it's salads using beans and pulses.

Almost always leftovers from the night before. I put it in a box before serving up, so I have lunch for the next day. This also helps me to eat less for dinner the night before, since what might have been a cheeky second helping has already been boxed up for tomorrow's lunch!

Leftovers here too. And carbs often. Although yesterday I had a half portion of leftover roast salmon and a salad made with leaves, a few olives, some butter beans and peppers.

Often I make a batch of soup, using up unused veg, and keep some in the fridge then freeze the rest in single portions.

Sometimes I have salads made with whatever nuts as the protein, as I'm trying to lower my cholesterol.

You know that carbs are linked with high cholesterol, don’t you?

I have a giant salad packed with loads of different veg, some protein and I don't need the bread. Or I have a small roll with soup. Or one of those ready prepared salads which have nuts and grains. I've also cut out my customary bread with my egg and smoked salmon in the morning - after a few days I didn't miss it. I'd love to have it, but I can miss it out for now.

It varies
I like to have potato salad for lunch
Or tuna wrap.

You can find easy recipes online on bbcgoodfood site.

Definitely a hearty soup without the bread. Scrambled eggs with cherry tomatoes and spinach
Omelette with veggies
Bean chilli
White turkey chilli with avocado and some jalapeños
Chicken salad
Veggie wrap
Veg sticks and houmous
I eat very little bread these days. Mind you I've never been a fan of sandwiches.
Basically I try to have loads of vegetables with my meal and some lean protein to keep you full.
Also I've found that eating a small amount of raisins curbs my sweet cravings
