HP Sauce replacement?

I'm making a recipe tonight which calls for HP sauce to be added to a sauce mix. I don't have HP sauce and didn't want to buy it just to use a tablespoon, so what would would use if you were me. I was thinking small amount of tamarind and a splash of Hendersons relish? What would you use?

That sounds about right, maybe some ketchup or tom puree for thickness.

Thanks, there's also ketchup in the sauce which I can add a bit more to for body Smile

Thank you! Worcester sauce would be ideal, but I'm vegetarian so use Hendersons instead. I don't have any A1 sauce to hand, but the link also suggests Worcester sauce. Sounds like adding extra ketchup, tamarind and some Hendersons should do the job.

Was thinking the same

Just in case anyone is searching for the same in the future I used the extra ketchup, some tamarind and Hendersons and it worked really well. Obviously I didn't have a comparison but it was delicious all the same.

Thanks everyone Smile
