Cinnamon apples, anyone?

I’ve had a request for cinnamon apples on the morning… I have made them in the air fryer before (but I think they might be a little dry?).

Does anyone have a quick ‘n dirty recipe for bleary eyed, silly o’clock cooking?

Chop apples. Toss them in cinnamon, ginger and brown sugar. Fry in butter until golden.

Yawn - yes that what I did in the end (without the sugar - couldn’t find it and it was an eating apple anyway). Empty bowl (and a huge bowl of porridge) so I’m guessing it was ok.

The kid has turned into an eating machine and went off with some sandwiches too).

Glad they liked it. Mine ate a lot of apples when they were little, it was one of the few fruits they consistently liked.

Ooo, I have 4 or 5 eating apples that are on the turn.....and my boy loves cinnamon and apple together. Great idea. Thank you both.

I think you can do this with bananas too. Maybe pears… mmmmm. Can you imagine it warm with custard or ice cream 😋

It works with pears, bananas less so as they go a bit slimy.
Pineapple chunks too, but without the sugar.
