I want to defrost it in the fridge, so, shall I get it out now? So it will be about 48 hours? Or leave it a bit longer?

Thanks!

Get it out now babe! You'll need it to be thoroughly defrosted. Besides... if you don't take it out and then go into labour.... well......

You need to allow 10-12 hours/kg of frozen bird, if defrosting in fridge -- you need a container big enough to hold dripping blood, so a very big fridge. And defrosting outside fridge and in the house is dangerous because the outside will go off before the middle is less than frozen. We tried defrosting ours in garage outside and wild rats got at it .
We defrosted ours in microwave last time.
Guidelines.

Get it out

Eeek at the rats, I was just wondering whether to leave mine in the fridge or put in the garage to make more room in the fridge
That answered that question!!!
