the title says it all really I knew there was a reason why turkey crown was a bad idea last year (first time) but in my post birth befuddled state I'd forgotten. Please can someone tell me where I can buy a good "home made" style turkey gravy?

Sorry, bigpants. I can't help too much, but you can make a good, rich gravy from chicken livers (which are very cheap to buy).

Gary Rhodes has a chicken liver gravy recipe, so I guess you could Google.

And next year, buy the whole bird. It tastes a hundred times better than the crown.

fresh turkey gravy in sainsburies. add a good glug of white wine and the juices from the turkey. it'll be lovely!

This recipe for boozy onion gravy never fails to hit the spot. You can add the turkey juices to the gravy too.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm trying to assuage my guilt of buying shop bought by doing a 1/2 & 1/2 with some kind of home made concoction.
Tassisssss/Desiderata I like the idea of mixing the Sainsbury's with some Gary Rhodes .
Last year was the first time I bought a turkey crown in 20 years (to realise it's that long!) I vaguely remember making a mental note never to do so again but clearly forgot
