Originally posted in low carbing but think this would actually be better placed here for all your lovely recipe ideas...

I'm sure this has been asked a million times before but my searching is rubbish. Keen to start low-carbing again, not strict keto but significantly cutting down carbs. However most nights I eat dinner with DH (definitely not low-carbing) and two DC (2 and 5). I'm looking for ideas please - what are your brilliant suggestions for meals where I can eat the same or similar to them, pleasing everyone but without cooking separate meals for everyone?

So far I have the obvious eg stir fry with rice (no rice for me), pasta bolognese and salad (no pasta 😢), roast dinner (no potatoes for me - argh!), fajitas with lettuce wraps for me instead of tortillas. But I'm sure you lovely lot have more ideas?

DH doesn't eat fish but the kids do so we can work around that. Otherwise we generally eat anything. Veggie meals are good too. Help!

I guess it depends on how low carb you are trying to go? Proper low carb or just avoiding potato, bread, pasta, rice, cous cous etc.

Baked falafel and salad. (Pitas for carb eaters) (if you are hard core low carb chickpeas maybe to high carb but you can reduce the amount down and replace with root veg to reduce)
Paprika chicken tray bake (chicken breasts, peppers, courgette, red onion, baby new potatoes.) Put potatoes in whole so easy to avoid.
Root veg casserole with broccoli and green beans
Shakshuka
Chickpea, cauliflower and red pepper curry.
Gammon with chilli and pineapple relish, peas and grilled tomatoes (wedges optional)
Honey and mustard chicken, home made apple and yoghurt slaw and corn on the cob.
Veg and bean chilli with fresh salsa and guacamole. (Optional rice)
Lemon and garlic chicken skewers.
Chilli, ginger and lime salmon with Stir fry veg, (rice noodles optional)
Sausage casserole with broccoli, optional mash.

I have the fast 800 books and there are quite a few receipes in there you could use. My daughters favourite is cassoulet. Cumberland sausages pancetta, tinned tomatoes and canellini beans.

Stroganoff with no rice/pasta
Tagine with no couscous/flatbread
Burgers without the bun - my dc like these tuna burgers
Sausages without the mash
Meatballs without the pasta or mash - I make these ones
Frittata - we normally have this one
Teriyaki chicken
Chicken casserole
Halloumi, pesto and veg traybake
