Turkey & ham pie recipe recommendations

I fancy making a turkey and ham pie. Does anyone have a good easy recipe (I’ll probably use ready made pastry)

M&S used to do a really nice turkey & ham pie back in the 80’s. They stopped doing it but it was lush. If I could make something similar I’d be happy. It was creamy and peppery with shortcrust pastry. I still dream about it 🙂

No recipe needed... jus rol pastry (ready rolled). Turkey, ham, gravy, maybe some sautéed leeks. Chop up any leftover veg/stuffing/pigs in blankets mix all the stuff together, add 2 tablespoons of creme fraiche if you want a creamy taste, put pastry round it, bake for 45min at 180.

We make one every year on boxing day with left over Turkey and whatever ham we have.

Fry up a few shallots and garlic. A good sprinkle of Mace to add some warmth.
Add a large tub of creme fraiche plus some concentrated chicken stock to the onions & meat plus tarragon & top with a ready made sheet of puff pastry.

We've tried other recipes but they're not as good unfortunately. I normally cook some extra portions of Puff Pastry on some waxed paper as we never have enough on top of the pie.

We often scale this up to feed over 20 family members on boxing Day as part of a hot buffet.

Thanks for all the ideas. I’ve gone with @BeyondMyWits method with some leeks, tarragon and a creamy gravy. It’s in the oven now . I’ll serve it with mash, carrots and gravy and a dollop of cranberry sauce.

This looked amazing! May I ask a turkey pie leftovers question? I roasted a turkey on Christmas day, quickly cooled and shredded leftovers, portioned and put in freezer. I've today used the defrosted cooked turkey in a pie. Unfortunately due to covid some guests couldn't come and I have half a pie left. Could we safely eat this pie (either cold or reheated) tomorrow?

Use a can of chicken or mushroom soup as the white sauce base. Mix with the chicken, ham, leeks and peas and add to the pastry.
