Slightly stale sourdough and no blinis…

My online shop didn’t deliver the blinis I asked for. I could make some for guests coming over but I also have a large loaf of slightly sour sourdough. Can I just bake slices of sourdough and make sort of toasts for smoked salmon? Or too crunchy?

Or just toast the bread lightly, then cut into neat triangles/squares. Have you got something like sour cream or cream cheese to spread on as a base for the smoked salmon?
