Gammon in Coke help please!

Doing this for the first time…. Does it matter that my gammon isn’t completely submerged??
Should I turn it half way through?

Hi I did this a couple of days ago and just topped it up with water until the meat was completely covered, and I turned it a few times while cooking so both sides got the direct heat at bottom of the pan. Turned out lovely

Top up with water as the exposed bit will dry out. If it needs quite a bitmofnwater pop a table spoon of sugar in as well to keep the liquid sweet and not too diluted.
Cook it skin down side down too according to Nigella. No idea on the science but I've always followed it! Mines simmering away now

Tried a few and that one has been the best. It doesn't say about covering with water but that's what I've learnt from experience!
