allergic to milk

Following my booster I became allergic to milk, cream and all my makeup.
My GP thinks its temporary - too many vaccines too soon, I had to have various other ones plus long term antibiotics.
Anyway moving on.....I love bread sauce at christmas and will have to use an alternative. Not sure whether to use soy milk, rice milk or whatever and will it make the sauce taste weird?
Bread sauce is the highlight of my food year.

I've seen oat milk recommended as best for dairy free bread sauce.

Oat milk is best (IMO) for most cooking as soy has a weird aftertaste, coconut has a distinctive flavour and almond is kinda bitter in food. I suggest an oat milk that is good for heating (Glebe Farm or the oatly barista one) then flora plant butter and season a little more heavily than usual.

We have a vegan friend and I use oat milk for custards, sauces etc
It also makes really nice porridge (not surprisingly!)
