Help - too much cloves

I'm cooking red cabbage & apple, & my hand slipped while adding cloves.
Arthritis is a bugger.
I'm doing something else for tonight as I'm not expecting any suggestions in time for dinner at 20.00.
Any ideas to lessen the flavour, please? There's a big batch as I was planning to freeze several portions.

Also for future reference.... I used a Schwartz mulled wine spice bag in my red cabbage - provides a much subtler flavour and no messing around with all the different spices.
