Where can I buy Lorne sausage?

The only place I could reliably find this in England was Iceland but I’ve been to a couple of different shops in the past week and there was none to be had. I was hoping to get some in for the Christmas period as we like a roll and sausage for breakfast when at home. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

DH has just taken delivery of his Christmas Scottish Pork Stocks, mail ordered from Ramsey's of Carluke. The freezer is full of carefully portioned square sausage and haggis and black pudding and bacon. He hasn't found anywhere south of the border that meets his exacting standards.

Am such a non fan! Sorry! Always take some of this and pan bread down to the inlaws in Wiltshire where are you in case can drop some on way? Grin

MichelleScarn · 18/12/2021 22:54

@BlueSkyeThinker any clootie dumpling or fruit pudding in that?

Itsnotalwaysme · 18/12/2021 22:56

Not in time for Christmas but I think after New year's they will be available from stornowayblackpuddings.com for delivery. Have purchased from them before as it's difficult to get decent lorne south of the border!

FelicityBeedle · 18/12/2021 22:57

We’ve seen it from farm foods before

Changecountetextraordinaire · 18/12/2021 22:57

Most Tesco stores in North of England sell it. God knows why, it's absolutely foul (waits to have Scottish birthright stripped).

You can see the M5 from our back garden so if you can lob a pack out of the car window as you drive past I will be very grateful! 🤣

Randomly my butcher is dead London does it, is there nowhere on line?

clare8allthepies · 18/12/2021 23:39

I could order online but I don’t know if I would want to order enough to make it worth paying for delivery. If I could grab some from Tesco/ Waitrose/Sainsbury’s it would be much easier

Farmfoods always has the cheap frozen ones where I am. I can't stand that one though, I order online from S.Collins & sons which was my local butcher when I lived back home.

Fergusons butchers in Airdrie delivers uk-wide. They have won lots of awards. Their steak and sausage pie is delish. Ramsay's as mentioned above also very good.

liveforsummer · 19/12/2021 12:27

Not Lorne as they have sage but Aldi do flat sausage. More like McDonald's breakfast than lorne but maybe a substitute if you're desperate

liveforsummer · 19/12/2021 12:28

Oh Tesco do those too

SummaLuvin · 19/12/2021 18:49

Donald Russell do them - both pork and beef varieties, not sure what their delivery slots look like this close to Christmas.

hugoagogo · 19/12/2021 18:52

Morrisons sometimes has a frozen, also m&s but again not all the time. Hmm

MadMadMadamMim · 19/12/2021 18:52

Heron used to do it. Not sure if they still do.
