Exact words that ds1 critiqued pudding tonight! I cooked plums with vanilla and cinnamon. They were very red once cooked, so I can kinda see where the inspiration of the comment came from, but not the exact review I was going for! Guess I won't be entering masterchef then. What delightful comments have your kids given you?

This tastes like I licked the ice skating rink.

I questioned her further and it seems the ice rink smells of rubber and ice and that's what the pie I made tasted of.

Dd is a very kind, empathetic and caring little soul, and I generally do not cook I let DH do that. However I made her dinner the other night, she took a bite then put her hand on my shoulder, looked at me with her beautiful big blue eyes full of compassion and said softly 'it's ok mummy, you tried hard and just need to practice some more' 😂

I thought your title was describing Huel. That to me tastes how I would imagine dead souls to taste.

Had a blocked drain in the kitchen sink. DS6 came in from school and said ‘ eurgh, it smells like my packed lunch box when you put an egg in it in here’ have avoided hard boiled eggs since then.

It's not food related but recently we parked in an underground car park which clearly had some kind of awful sewage issue and DD (4) said 'eeeewwwww it smells like chewed up rat bum in here'
