Boxing Day lunch ideas - one pot casserole sort of meals

I'm stumped for ideas for what to serve at a boxing day lunch. There will be 7 adults. Ideally something that can be prepared in the morning and will just sit cooking away until needed. To be cooked on a hob and, ideally, all in one pan/casserole dish, although we could do mash, rice, noodles separately if need be.

We are eating beef on Christmas Day, and the guests will all have had goose, so nothing too similar to those.

Can be spicy, as the children are all eating something else.

Sausage & tomato casserole & mash?
Chilli & rice?
A really thick vegetable & bean soup with bread?

Fish pie would be a real change but is probably too much faff.

I like mixed game things on Boxing Day - either casserole with dumplings and/or mash or pie with thyme-flavoured crust. But venison & pheasant might be too close to beef & goose for your household.

Just remembered, MIL doesn't like tomatoes, SIL doesn't like fish (also dh won't eat cheese, if that is relevant).

Chilli might be a goer. Dumplings are always popular too.

Wondering about something with lamb - deconstructing a large shoulder and casseroling somehow?

You could do something North African with the lamb (I'm thinking apricots & almonds & spice - so quite festive!) and then serve with couscous.

That's a great idea!
