Mary Berry's lasagne al forno from the BBC website. It's delicious and really simple.

I make the ragu as Bolognese, and cook it for hours in the oven on about 120°. Has so many compliments about both the lasagne and the bol

I second Mary Berry’s lasagne from the BBC website. I usually make it the day before .

Good old Mary Berry! She’s amazing.

I do a slow cooker ragu:-
*Browned mince
*Chopped onions
*Tinned Tom's
*Garlic
*Diced chorizo
*Herbs
*Salt and pepper

Put it on in the morning and leave on low all day.

Then an hour before service, I make the white sauce with added cheese (a roux basically).

I give the slow cooker a slight blitz with the hand blender then layer in a dish meat/pasta/sauce repeat etc then grated cheese and turn mozzarella on the top.

45mins in the oven max for the cheese to brown.

No idea if it's the "right" way. But we like it!

After much trial and error over the years, here’s my recipe- much simpler than Mary Berry’s-
Fry 750g lean mince til brown, add 1 chopped red onion and a teaspoon of lazy garlic fry a bit more. Add 2 tins chopped tomatoes and 1 tsp Schwartz garlic Italian seasoning, then salt and pepper. Leave to simmer whilst you make cheese sauce. Weigh direct into pan 80g plain flour, 50g of butter and 950ml blue top milk. Put on medium heat whisking lots. When it thickens add 150g grated cheese. Then make the lasagna- 3 layers of mince mixture-lasagna sheets-cheese sauce with another 150g grated cheese on top. Ideally leave for at least an hour before cooking. Bake for 30 mins at 180 fan. Leave to rest for min 20 mins before serving.
