Alcohol for Christmas cake

I have never made one before, but thinking about it now. Question I have is, should you use an expensive brandy/whiskey, or is cheap ok?

Whatever you have will be fine. Cheap is fine. Expensive is fine, too.

Cheap is just fine, you won't be able to tell the difference. I use whisky, but brandy is fine too. I always use a cheap one in cakes as DH would probably divorce me if I used one of his precious single malts
