Sweet cake tray bake

I like baking and cooking but to my shame I’ve never done a tray bake. I’d like to make the old fashion iced sponge in a disposable container to give to someone would any of you lovelies have a recipe/method t9 shrew please? Tia

Mary Berry is queen of traybakes. Can you Google her recipes or borrow a library book? Most of them are basic sponge recipes but obviously adapted for timing and size of tin. She has lemon drizzle, coffee walnut, sultana etc. Something like flapjacks or brownies could also be baked in a tray, if you are going 'large'
