Planning on making this recipe this evening. Not sure why as my normal recipes is a complete fail safe in our household.
It was featured on her last eat tv series but having doubts.

Looks really good - marks out of 10 OP?

Someone made something similar on Saturday live in a bit of a Mac n cheese off and it won!
So I'm tempted to try it
But wotsits don't last long in this house 😬

I think the jury's out here.
Tasted fantastic and we all tucked in with gusto but we're all suffering a bit of wotsit overload.
Glad I made it but won't make it again in a hurry. Nor will, I think, any of us will be rushing out for a packet of watsits any time soon!!
On the plus side the house still smells of watsits and cheese 😂

Do you think it would be nice with less of them maybe?

I made it - I'd lose the marmite next time. I don't mind marmite but it was just too strong - though I am pregnant and my taste buds are right off!

@shumway

Watching that episode made me wish I could cook.
Unless you are dyslexic of have a physical disability there is no reason why you can't learn. There are loads of online resources, cookery shows and simple recipe books. Go for it.

I made macaroni cheese (not mac 'n cheese Hmm) last weekend after being inspired by this recipe. I put some marmite in the sauce because it really does enhance the cheese flavour - and no it didn't make the whole dish taste of marmite. I also added some mustard to the sauce, but didn't bother with the evaporated milk or cheesy Whatsits. It was delicious.

Thanks for the verdict! Glad it was OK.

"Scent of Wotsits and Cheese" - now that's a Yankee Candle waiting to happen... Wink

@AgnesNaismith

Marmite and wotsits? Sounds like a dream!! For those who do like marmite - Nigella’s marmite butter pasta is amazing!!
Will have to give it a try!

Omg why have I never thought to put marmite in a cheese sauce??
