Milk glut

For reasons too boring to go into, I have around 8 extra pints of milk sitting in the fridge - what on earth can I do with them? I hate rice pudding so not that, was thinking custard but can I freeze custard (we're also out for the next couple of nights!).

Any ideas?

You can freeze custard.

Cauliflower/broccoli cheese was my first thought, which also freeze well.

Hot chocolate.

Make paneer.

Pancakes freeze brilliantly.

As long as your fridge is at the correct temperature, it will last a lot longer than the use by date so I wouldn't be in any rush to use it up. Just check it smells OK before using.

You can freeze milk itself. Not in glass.

GoGoGretaDoll · 11/11/2021 13:20

oooh paneer and pancakes. Paneer pancakes?

I get a twice weekly delivery though Nanny, so I'm facing a fridge full of milk if I don't cull the glut.

Ahh, I see what you mean!
You could make cheese sauce and freeze it. Angel delight uses 1/2 pint of milk.

Angel Delight, now you're talking!
