Cut into 1-2cm cubes, boil until al dente, then fry in butter with brown sugar, nutmeg & s+p.

Meera Sodha's swede laksa is a bit different to the usual boil and mash with butter and pepper but I do love it that way as well, recipe here

Thinly slice, cook on the hob in butter and salt.

TBF that works for most things.

A nice swede recipe is an oxymoron in my opinion I have bad memories of being served lumpy, watery, mashed swede several times a week at school.
