Replacing Golden Syrup with Maple Syrup in Pecan Pie

Planning on making a pecan pie this weekend (Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie, from Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days) and was thinking of replacing the golden syrup with maple, we have plenty in and I love maple/pecan flavour combination. Do you think a straight swap will work? Or will the runnyness of the maple effect things and I should do 50:50?

I don’t think a straight swap will work-maple syrup is too runny. I’d do it by taste. Add the minimum amount to the golden syrup until you can taste maple and go with that. All that taste testing sounds like heaven…
