Freezing raw chicken

I bought chicken thighs from a market stall, and when I got them home there were traces of ice on them, so they had been frozen.
Can I put them in the freezer or do I need to eat them soon? Are they even safe to eat, having been frozen and then defrosted on a market stall?

They might have been kept on ice chips but of you are not sure cook them and freeze them.

You can't refreeze defrosted chicken.

www.chicken.org.au/myth-busting-1-is-it-safe-to-refreeze-chicken/. Australian link was first one I found, but it's not true that you can't refreeze chicken (or any meat).
The problem here is that you don't know how it's been defrosted (assuming it was def frozen). I'd still freeze personally..

Thanks all. On balance, we'll ear it tomorrow.
