Which flour?

Recipe from Diabetes UK for a rich fruit cake, says wholemeal flour. Also in the recipe is baking powder.

So should I use plain or self raising wholemeal flour?

Because the recipe includes baking powder which is a raising agent, I'd take that to mean plain flour. If you only have self raising you could omit the baking powder.

Plain flour is fine, as baking powder is added extra, but in reality either is ok

Thanks both. I don’t have either in my cupboard and didn’t want to buy both. I’ll get the plain.
Thank you 💐
