Feeding a crowd - help!

So long since I've entertained a group of people that I can't think of anything!

Have family over for a birthday next week - 6 adults and 4 kids. Want something easy and can prepare in advance to feed all of us - nothing tomato based.

Chilli in the slow cooker.

Stew

Lasagne salad and jacket spuds

Yeah, curry or something in the slow cooker or a lasagne , salad and garlic bread. If kids are really little then just do hot dogs!!!!

Soup and crusty bread?

Baked potatoes with choices of fillings?

I'm a big fan buying the pre-prepared whole chickens and serving them with couscous and veg. Or baby roast potatoes and veg.

Oh yes hot dogs are super easy - just Chuck a job lot of sausages in the oven and then get rolls.

Mexican?
pork or chicken (in slow cooker) with soft tacos, and then salsas, guacamole etc. Nachos/back beans etc on the side?
I've done that for a crowd a few times and works well as can be prepared in advance.

Chicken, chorizo and Mediterranean veg tray bake
Sausage, BNS, apple, shallots tray bake

Do you know the kids well enough to know if they are likely to eat anything or if they are fussy? I think I’d base the menu on something you know the kids eat and jazz it up with sides.

Tartiflette, with green salad and crusty bread.

A good ham? Then you can do various potato, cabbage dishes etc that are easy to prep the day before.

A quiche, a soup, a salad, a baguette. Maybe some cheeses.

Pud.
