Any bananas? If you’ve got walnuts and sultanas you could knock up a lovely banana bread in a loaf tin.

Ooo sounds lovely but damn no bananas!!!

I have baking powder and vanilla extract as well.

Roughly blitz up the walnuts and dissolve a couple of teaspoons of instant coffee in a little hot water and make coffee & walnut cake.

Or do you have any cocoa powder in the back of your cupboard to make a chocolate cake?

Jam to make it Victoria sponge?

AdaColeman · 24/10/2021 10:58

Rock buns, you could use the sultanas and some chopped walnuts.

Victoria sponge with a buttercream filling, sieve some icing sugar over to decorate it.

No jam or coco

Melt the milk chocolate, and cool.
Make a vanilla sponge, mix the cooled chocolate in and bake for a chocolate sponge. With extra melted chocolate on top if you have lots?
About 100g chocolate in a 3 egg sponge.

Coffee and walnut cake. Use instant coffee dissolved in hot water to flavour. It’s my favourite.

Do you have any warm spices? Could make a walnut and sultana cake with warm spices (mix of any of cinnamon, ginger, mace, nutmeg, all spice etc) and serve with lightly spiced and sweetened whipped cream?
