Jamie Oliver roast chicken.... vegetables burn underneath!

When I do Jamie Oliver's roast chicken with the veggies underneath they always burn even if I add water.

Do I need to add more water to the bottom? Or cover with foil?

And does anyone else have this problem?

I don't know this recipe, but could it be that the roasting dish is thinner than the one he uses ?

Mine don't, no! I usually cover the chicken with foil then remove for the last 20 minutes.

Is your oven too high? Roasting tin too thin?

Thanks both,I'll try and change a couple of different things.

Just found the recipe online. It looks quite old, possibly the oven temp is not for a fan oven. I normally roast a chicken @180 c.
