Shall I cook this today ready for tomorrow?

I'm going out at silly o'clock tomorrow morning (5:30am!), wont be back until the afternoon and have the in laws coming for dinner at 6pm.

Will this be ok (or rather better than just ok and actually still delicious) if I cook today, in the slow cooker, and re heat tomorrow?

TIA

Looks delicious. That should be fine, just cut your apples large so they don't disintegrate.

My only worry is whether the meat would dry out when being reheated in the slow cooker. Could you prep it today, have it in the slow cooker ready and turn it on so it cooks tomorrow whilst you're out?

Good idea Serenshine; I'll do that.

Thank you both.

Just wanted to say I hope your dinner turns out lovely 😊

thanks SerenShine.

I cooked it all on Saturday but stopped at the final step and put it in the fridge overnight. Sunday I reheated it, in the slow cooker, and added the mustard/creme fraiche.

It was flipping delicious. I'll definitely do it again.
