Weed brownies

I have some weed brownies that have been in my freezer for 3 years. Would they be safe to eat?
I mean, people keep wedding cake frozen for years then eat it… but it’s the weed part I’m not sure about.
I have googled this but can’t get a straight answer.
No idea where to post this question so went with ‘food’ Grin

Did you never listen to zammo?!

Just say no.

Bin them…

TheSilveryPussycat · 18/09/2021 11:24

I doubt they would kill you. If the weed no longer works, at least you have brownies to eat.

PartyPotato · 18/09/2021 11:45

@TheSilveryPussycat unfortunately the actual brownie part is not particularly nice (blame my friends baking skills) so if they don’t work I’ll have just eaten some horrible brownies for no reason…. 😂
But I’ll rest assured that they’re not gonna harm me.

Life's too short for horrible brownies, weed or no weed.

PotteringAlong · 18/09/2021 11:50

If they’re not even nice brownies definitely bin them

PartyPotato · 18/09/2021 12:02

Nah if they’re not gonna hurt me I’m still gonna eat them (not right now, for future ref)

Any food that’s been frozen for 3 years will be a bit rank tbh. Fat doesn’t freeze indefinitely and can go rancid which is why some foods say can be frozen for 3 or 6 months, others up to a year. After that they will have deteriorated, and while not necessarily unsafe, would definitely be unpleasant.

Personally I’d spend a few quid on some decent brownies from a farmers market this weekend and enjoy them properly. For me that’s much more of a treat than some (potentially impotent!) weed!

Gosh, you're showing your age there a bit Grin

I've actually met Zammo, it was a very unimpressive evening.

PotteringAlong · 18/09/2021 13:36

@DominicRaabsTravelAgent Grin it’s a fair point.

Meeting zammo is a good claim to fame though

OldWivesTale · 18/09/2021 13:41

I also met Zammo and I've still got a signed photo of him that says "Just Say No".

Now that's a better claim to fame! Hope you've got it framed and hung up in the Lavatory Grin
